Susan Grisanti has performed solo concerts & with orchestra throughout the U.S. & Europe since the 1970's, & is included on the U.S. Embassy Touring Roster & is a 5-Time Texas Arts Commission Touring Roster Winner. She is the feature artist in dozens of television, radio & news articles, & has performed for many prominent individuals including President George W. Bush, Tipper Gore, Ann Richards, Lieutenant Governor of Texas Bob Bullock, the Honorary Mayor of Hollywood Johnny Grant, & Tanya Tucker. Her recent performances include the Hollywood Business Expo, the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, Germany, the 'Strasse Der Romanik' Tour of Germany, & the Capitol Restoration Celebration in Austin, Texas. Her mentors have been Pepe Romero, Alice Artzt, Dr. Loris Chobanian, & post-graduate study in guitar performance with Dr. James Bogle of Texas Tech University. Her numerous endorsements have established her as the 'First Lady of Classical Guitar' in the Southwest. Ms. Grisanti's virtuoso repertoire also encompasses acoustic & electric guitar styles as well as song-writing, & her well known 'Guitar Then & Now' Workshops, featuring players of all levels & all styles of guitar, has been featured four years in a row at the Buddy Holly Center during the Buddy Holly Festival in Lubbock, Texas. Her numerous awards also include 'Most Prominent Educators of Texas', 'Notable Women of Texas', 'Music Teacher of the Year' for the Lubbock Avalanche Journal Reader's Poll, 'Who's Who in Hollywood' & Biltmore's 'Who's Who'. Her teaching studio is located at Park Tower in Lubbock Texas, & features all styles & all levels of guitar with over 5,000 students since 1987. She is the creator of 'Chordspeller.com', a unique music theory program. Her music was recently syndicated on the National Public Radio Program 'Classical Guitar Alive'. Her solo music for the 'Isaiah Project' is frequently featured on the Prime Time Broadcasting Television Network, & her guitar video 'Classical Dances' was featured on Public Television. In 1987 she became founder & director of the Park Tower Guitar Concert Series, featuring nationally & internationally known musicians in concert four times a year at Park Tower.
